§ 10.02. City attorney—Qualifications and appointment.

The head of the department of law shall be the city attorney who shall be an attorney at law licensed to practice under the laws of the Commonwealth. The city attorney shall be appointed by the city council and serve at the pleasure of the city council. Compensation and responsibilities of the office, except as provided herein, shall be determined by the city council.
